Individual Therapy

Therapy provides an opportunity to dedicate time solely for your feelings, thoughts, challenges, aspirations, and more. This act alone is significantly powerful in creating a healthy relationship with yourself. 

I take a person-centered, collaborative approach to meet your unique needs in therapy. Together, we will take inventory of each aspect of your life and determine where you want to see a change. I will meet you with curiosity and compassion to give you the profound understanding you deserve.

As a therapist, I believe that everything is connected. Challenges in one area will affect others. As such, I integrate various evidence-based modalities to guide you in cultivating insight and the proper tools to meet your goals. 

My work centers around finding the root cause of challenges to provide you with real transformative change instead of temporary relief. We intentionally move through this process while incorporating fun, motivation, and inspiration. In some sessions, we may make breakthroughs and cry; in others, we might laugh and discuss your passions. Both are valuable. Both are part of doing the work.

Anxiety

Anxiety can manifest itself in many different forms- excessive worrying, irritability, overthinking, indecisiveness, procrastination and more. I work with you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the root and function of your anxiety so that you can break free from the vicious cycle.

Using evidence-based tools, we will challenge anxious thinking patterns and introduce more adaptive perspectives. We will utilize relaxation tools and mindfulness-based techniques to better manage, cope, and overcome anxious episodes to give you the relief you’ve been seeking. Living with anxiety can feel isolating, but you don’t have to go through it alone. 

Self-esteem

Where you fall on the continuum of self-esteem impacts your functioning in all aspects of life. If you find yourself struggling with shame, self-doubt, and feelings of worthiness, you likely fall on the low end of the spectrum. I work with individuals to identify the underlying cause of self-esteem issues to combat cognitive distortions in self-perception and reconnect with the truth of themselves. We address the internal dialogue of self-criticism and examine core beliefs getting in the way of living your most fulfilling life. 

Low self-esteem can impact the way you show up in relationships, in your career, health, and more. When you struggle to trust yourself, you feel disempowered and disconnected. It can lead you to constantly compare yourself to others, hold yourself back from going after opportunities, or accept less than you deserve in relationships. 

Trauma

Whether you have experienced trauma with a big T or a little t, it can significantly impact how you move through life. Healing is possible when you prioritize yourself and release the baggage you have been carrying. Everyone has a story; sharing that story can be empowering. It allows you to examine life events and the associated interpretations about yourself and your life. Learning that you can flip the script and write the rest of your story the way you want is transformative. 

My goal in therapy is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your story and process associated painful emotions. We need to feel to heal; to feel, we must feel safe, seen, and supported. 

Life Transitions

Life is constantly evolving and changing, so we will find ourselves going through many different transitions. Some might come easier while others feel challenging. Any change, even positive change, is hard. Transitions come with great uncertainty, which might leave you feeling anxious and ungrounded. 

I provide support while you navigate uncharted territory. Sometimes, it can feel confusing to go through it alone. We will address the sense of loss that can accompany transitions and implement tools to help you feel more secure, confident, and hopeful in your new chapter of life.   

Relational Distress

Do you repeatedly find yourself in relationships that feel one-sided? Are you struggling to feel seen, heard, and understood by those around you? Feeling alone even in the presence of other people can feel devastating and painful. 

I work with you to examine patterns in your romantic relationships, friendships, and family dynamics. We will work on increasing your sense of connection, intimacy, and belonging. Human beings are wired for connection; it is not “needy” to have needs. We will explore your core relational wounds, examine how they influence your ability to relate to others, and learn tools for effective communication, boundary setting, and true intimacy. 

Identity Exploration

Everything starts from within. When you don’t have a clear sense of who you are and what you want, you find yourself going along with whatever shows up, even if it does not align with your core values and needs. You might struggle with people pleasing, speaking up for yourself, and feeling a sense of purpose in your life. 

I work with you to dive into a process of self-exploration to realize your full potential. We will remove the layers of conditioning and protective mechanisms to get to the core of who you are and where you want to be. Most people don’t stop to ask themselves, “what do I want?” This keeps you in confusion and anxiety. I work with you to develop a sense of clarity around your most authentic needs, wants, and desires to provide you with direction, motivation, and inspiration to create your most ideal life.

Couples Therapy

Conscious relationships have the power to help us heal, while unconscious relationships can add to our wounds and dysfunctional patterns. All relationships are challenging and take work. The skills needed to be effective in relationships can be learned to experience deep connection, intimacy, and true partnership.  

Relationships are often mirrors. They reflect the parts of ourselves that require attention, care, and healing. Those wounded parts get triggered and brought to the surface. When we act from a wounded part, more ruptures are created in the relationship. 

Repair and reconnection are possible with the right tools and mutual desire to work things through. I work with couples to heal from patterns of conflict that led to disconnection, create deeper intimacy, and build a strong foundation for a lasting relationship.

  • Learning from other members’ experiences and gaining perspective.

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision- it is crucial that you feel a connection with whom you choose. I offer a free consultation to give you a feel for what it would be like to work together and determine if we’re a good match.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I currently only offer sessions virtually via HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platforms. Virtual therapy can be as effective as in-person sessions and even more convenient.

  • I do not accept insurance. I can provide you with a superbill to provide to your insurer to determine if you are eligible for any reimbursement. It’s best to call your insurance company and ask them directly how they handle superbills.

  • I strongly recommend starting off with meeting once per week, so that we can dive in, build rapport, and make progress towards your goals. I leave it up to you to determine when you may want to decrease sessions to every other week.

  • Individual- $200
