Self-Worth, Purpose & Identity

When you’ve spent so long adapting to what’s expected of you, it can be hard to know what’s true for you.

You might find yourself questioning your direction, doubting your value, or feeling disconnected from a sense of authenticity. On the surface, things may look fine: your career, relationships, responsibilities, yet underneath, there’s a quiet feeling of something’s missing.

Sometimes this shows up as self-criticism, imposter syndrome, indecision, or a feeling of detachment from your own desires. For others, it can feel like living on autopilot, struggling to feel joy, or comparing themselves to who they think they “should” be.

These experiences often point to a deeper disconnection from identity and self-worth,  patterns that can be shaped by family dynamics, early attachment, trauma, or environments that didn’t reflect your true self back to you.

Reconnecting with who you are

Therapy offers space to slow down and listen to your inner world; the parts of you that have been silenced, doubted, or pushed aside in order to belong or succeed.

Together, we explore:

  • The beliefs and narratives that have shaped your sense of worth

  • How perfectionism or people-pleasing may have developed as protection

  • The difference between external validation and internal alignment

  • What authenticity and purpose truly mean for you

This process isn’t about reinventing yourself;  it’s about remembering who you’ve been all along, beneath the expectations and noise.

How we’ll work together

Our work integrates cognitive and somatic awareness, supporting a deeper connection between understanding and experience.

This work integrates:

  • Psychodynamic and depth-oriented therapy to uncover formative influences and internalized messages

  • Parts work and inner-child exploration to foster compassion for the aspects of you that learned to adapt

  • Mindfulness and values-based reflection to support authenticity, meaning, and direction

  • Trauma-informed and somatic approaches to regulate the nervous system as you explore identity and change

This process supports exploration of what it means to feel grounded and aligned, making space to notice when choices stem from values rather than fear or obligation.

Living in alignment

Rediscovering self-worth and purpose isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about reconnecting with what has always been there.

With greater awareness comes the capacity to move through life with more intention and authenticity, guided by what truly feels like you.

If you see yourself in these words, I’d love to connect and explore how I can support you.
