Depth-Oriented Therapist in Los Angeles, CA.
Roz Hedayatian, LMFT #134886
I’m a licensed Psychotherapist in California, offering depth-oriented therapy and EMDR for adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, relational patterns, trauma, and life transitions.
Who I work with
I work primarily with adults, often between 20s and 40s, who are thoughtful, self-aware, and tired of living with anxiety, self-doubt, and repeating relational patterns. Many of my clients are creatives and professionals who look like they’re holding it together on the outside but feel restless, stuck, or untethered inside.
Why this work matters to me
I’ve seen how long people can carry anxiety, shame, and self-blame while still functioning on the surface. I’m drawn to the quieter, more complex places in people’s stories, the parts that often get overlooked, and I believe therapy can be a place where those parts are finally allowed to exist, be understood, and change the way you move through the world.
Curious and collaborative. We spend time understanding the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped how you move through life, and how they keep showing up in your relationships and day‑to‑day experience.
Depth-oriented, with EMDR and somatic work when helpful. I draw from depth psychology, EMDR, and somatic awareness to help connect the dots between past experiences and present challenges—not to relive the past, but to loosen its hold.
Reflective, relational sessions. Sessions are reflective and relational. I pay attention to what happens between us, how your body responds, and what feels hard or new for you, so we can reconnect you with parts of yourself you’ve lost touch with along the way.
How I work
Moving Beyond Symptom Management: In a world that prizes quick fixes and "hacks," it is easy to treat our distress like a problem to be managed. But when we only focus on the surface, we miss the roots. Healing isn't about silencing your symptoms; it’s about understanding the internal landscape that created them.
The Work of Depth: Looking beneath the surface means moving toward the things we’ve learned to overlook. It is an exploration of the narratives you carry, the patterns you’ve inherited, and the subtle ways your body holds onto your history. My approach is for the person who is no longer satisfied with just "getting by" and is ready to do the meaningful work of self-discovery.
True healing begins beneath the surface.

To provide a truly integrative experience, I have pursued advanced training in several evidence-based and depth-oriented modalities. This allows us to tailor our work to what your system actually needs—whether that is structured processing or deep, relational exploration.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Completed Parts 1 & 2 of EMDRIA-approved training through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. This specialized approach helps process traumatic memories and "stuck" patterns that talk therapy alone often cannot reach.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Integration: Trained through Fluence in the clinical integration of KAP. I support clients in preparing for and processing psychedelic experiences to foster long-term neurological and emotional shifts.
Psychodynamic & Relational Depth: Advanced training through intensive clinical mentorship, focusing on the unconscious processes, attachment styles, and the "here-and-now" of the therapeutic relationship.
Evidence-Based Behavioral Frameworks: DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and CBASP (Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy). These tools provide the structural "scaffolding" for emotional regulation and interpersonal effectivenes
If you’re considering working together
Choosing a therapist is deeply personal; it’s important that you feel a real connection. I offer a free 15–20 minute consultation so you can get a feel for what it’s like to talk with me, ask questions, and see whether this feels like the right fit. If I’m not the best match, I’m happy to help you think through next steps.
